About the WB PTO
We feel that a strong PTO can facilitate and organize that parental involvement.
We strive to do this through volunteerism and financial support (funded outside of the annual school budget) that enhances the educational and emotional well being of the students. We’re always eager to find more great people—like you!—to help us meet this goal.
DUES & FUNDRAISING:
We have chosen not to require dues to be members of the PTO. We want everyone to be involved and we feel that everyone has something to offer whether that is a financial contribution, time/skill contribution, or both. While dues are not required for membership, the PTO will depend on annual voluntary donations to create wonderful programs and supplies for the children of Waverly Belmont.
Our hope is to help meet the needs and development of the school. We want to help raise funds to provide a wide range of educational enrichment programs for students, curriculum supplements and even additional educators to support our kids. Yet we know that teachers and schools are inundated with responsibilities at the district level to state standards and tests and even federal requirements—all in addition to the day-to-day of running a school. So we help carry the load and give them what they need to succeed, in partnership with the school’s faculty and leadership.
To get there, we need volunteers to donate time, skills and funds.
We have positions and tasks to fit all schedules and interests. Just let us know whether a program, event, or activity interests you and when you might be free to help. Feel free to e-mail if you have any questions. Together, we can make a difference at our school!
